It's really sad...there is a big machine chopping down the woods next to our house :( They started this last week. We have never attended any of the association board meetings, for our subdivision, and are paying the price now. Not that our vote would have counted much... Here's the scoop: We live on a dead end, and there is a gorgeous lot of woods, right here next to us, and across from us. There is a covenant that we were told about, when we bought the house. The covenant stated that our dead end here, would remain a dead end. We have really enjoyed living here. The kids can play right in front of our house, in the dead end part of the street, and not worry about getting run over. It's also been very handy when we have company over, because they can park in our dead end, extended part of the street. Well, when they first started cutting down the woods, last week, I saw one of our neighbors outside, and went out to talk to him about the woods. He informed me that they are going to be building more houses out there, and this will probably join phase one and phase two of our subdivision. The dead end will most likely become a through street to that area. That means no more dead end for us, and no more beautiful view of the woods, AND no more home for all of the deer, foxes and other woodland animals that are now inhabiting that area :( The only good thing that will come from this (maybe) is that our side yard (a separate lot that came with the house) might go up in value. Other than that, we are already having to endure the sound of a loud bulldozer, tearing through the woods, and will most likely have to listen to a bunch of construction, and possible road construction and all of the wonderful smells that come with laying down new asphalt. Oh joy...
If you couldn't tell already, I am still feeling lousy today :p The cold hasn't really improved, and my head feels like it's about to roll off of my shoulders... I think I'll scoot and get going on my to do list:
1. Home schooling
2. Decorate the Christmas Tree
3. Laundry
4. Finish up the gazillion Christmas cards I have to send out :p
