Wow...I just had a great "nature" moment... I was sitting out on the front porch, admiring the lovely weather, when I saw a monarch butterfly sunbathing on some of the landscaping wood we have around the front of our house. I ran in the house to get my camera so I could get a cool picture of it's wings, and when I came back out, it was gone :( I sat there a few more minutes and saw one of those cute little butterflies that have the tan colored wings on the outside, and gorgeous blue on the inside. I was thinking about how beautiful it was and how I wish I could take some really great pictures of butterflies like other people have. About a minute later, that same little butterfly came and landed on my right wrist!! I couldn't reach the camera at that moment, so I just stared at him. He flew away and came right back to land on my purple bra strap! lol I guess he thought it was a flower... I tried to get him to crawl onto my finger, and he flew away again. He kept flying around me, trying to land on my face, and I kept putting my arm out for him to land on. He finally landed on the inside of my left wrist and I grabbed the camera and got several good shots of him. He stayed there for about 4 minutes and then flew around my head again and landed on my left pinky! I took a bunch more pictures of him, and he stayed on my finger for 10 minutes or so! I finally called the kids out to see him, he crawled onto Abby's finger, and then right before I took a picture of her with the butterfly, a stupid, scary BEE came and tried to buzz into my hair!! EEEEKKK!!!! So we all ran inside the house and the little butterfly is now all alone :( That really was an awesome experience. I feel so privileged when butterflies actually want to land on me! lol He must have been attracted to my Tresor eau de parfum. The stuff is YUMMY I tell you!!! Anyway, just wanted to write down that special little encounter with my new butterfly friend :) The pictures will be coming soon!

We had a great time at lunch today! I went over to Diane's house to celebrate my friend Lynn's birthday!! I made lasagna this morning and took it over for the party. We had a blast :) We're hoping to have Diane and Steve over for dinner and gaming tomorrow night! I need to figure out exactly what I will be fixing...I know it will be one of my Mexican dishes and a new recipe I found for peanut butter pie...Mmmmmmm ;) But alas, I first need to clean my kitchen from my cooking time this morning! The lasagna sauce is becoming a second skin on the pot I stewed it in :p

On another, totally un-related note, there are some people who are wanting to get Bruce Springsteen to run for the U.S. Senate...after all, he was "Born in the USA" :p
