Whew...a lot has happened since my last large entry! Sara (my sis-in-law) moved all of her stuff in over here this last weekend. She left for France on Wednesday, and will be gone for three months :( I won't have my chit-chat partner anymore! She and I usually talk on the phone atleast every other day! I'm sure the three months will fly by though :) My in-laws have been in France for a little over 20 years now, working as missionaries there! She has gone to help them out with the missions work :) I don't envy her having to find a new job and place to live when she gets back! She'll be staying with us for few days when she does come back, so that will be fun! We're planning on having her boyfriend, John, over each week for dinner and computer gaming...lol He enjoys the computer games as much as I do! We were playing Star Trek Elite Force together the other day, and he was just as much addicted to it as I was! Normally, Tim is the one who gets bored with it and I'm stuck still wanting to play more :( I won't have that problem with John around ;) lol

I think I have just about decided on my my departure date for Texas! I'll be going to visit my parents and my Nana & Popa in Texas for *hopefully* three weeks. It all depends on how Joshua is doing while we are there. My parents have 4 chihuahuas in their house and used to have a cat, so there will be quite a bit of pet dander there. My grandparents have a cat, so that will for sure be a sore spot for Josh. He is EXTREMELY allergic to cats, and mildly allergic to dogs. I have him on Zyrtec right now, but I'm not too sure how well it will work against the allergic reactions. He had a mild one the other night. Tim had brought Sara's couch throw pillows into the house to protect them from the mice out in the garage, and we put them on the floor between the two couches. On Wednesday, I woke up and the kids had her pillows and some of our other random throw pillows, all lined up on the living room floor with a blanket on top. I guess they were pretending it was a large bed or something. I thought nothing of it and threw all of the pillows back between the couches. Well, that night, Tim, Josh & Abby were play wressling on the living room floor. We were getting ready to watch Red Planet, and Joshua couldn't breath very well! He was weezing, and I was afraid he was having an asthma attack! He doesn't have asthma, but that's what it reminded me of. He sat on my lap and calmed down a bit. He ate some ice cream, and I think that got his mind off of his breathing a bit. He started doing better, and then it dawned on me... Sara's pillows probably still have cat dander and hair on them!!!!! They had been on the carpet earlier that day, and Josh had been rolling around on the carpet that night. I think the combo of him getting all worked up with Tim and coming in contact with the dander, made it hard for him to breathe. So, I've put the pillows in trash bags and we'll be putting those up in the attic I think. He was still taking the sample bottles of Zyrtec at the time too, so it's kind of scary that even while taking that medicine, he can come in contact with a very small amount of dander and have a big reaction like that! I don't know what's going to happen when we get to Texas and he's around all of those animals :( I may have to come home extra early...bummer!!!! I'm planning on calling the dr. today to ask if I can give Josh Benadryl at the same time that he's taking Zyrtec. I hope I can...I think that will help a bit with the coughing and weezing. Ugh...I wish he didn't have allergies...nobody else in our family does!! :(

So, now that Sara's move is all done, I'm trying to prepare for the trip. I just got a tune up yesterday, and may have to get a few more fixes done on the car before I leave. I'm also working on getting a cellphone for the trip. I think I'll be going with ATT Wireless. They have the best coverage plan for traveling. I also need to get Josh's Zyrtec prescription filled. I'm hoping it will be a big enough prescription for our trip. I think I might leave this coming Wednesday, the 10th. That way I'll have more time at Mom's house, and if he does have allergic reactions at Nana's house, I'll be able to just head on home and know that I had spent some good time with my parents and sister :) I'm thinking that if he does have a reaction to the cat, he won't be able to deal with Mom's dogs as well since when he's having a reaction, it's like is immunity is lower and the dogs just might make it all worse.

There's a few more things I could write about, but I really need to get busy around here. But first, I need to make sure I copy this whole entry before hitting publish!! lol I'd hate to lose everything again...grrrr :p

Oh! Termite update... Tim did some more research on the Sentricon System, and found that it is pretty much a scam. He will be writing a letter to request that they remove the system and refund us our money. Then, he wants to tear open the wall and get rid of the termites himself. I'm hoping I'll already be in Texas when he goes to do that. I don't think I could stand another termite infestation!!! Those swarmers are terrifying!!!!
