Oh my...you WOULD NOT believe the morning I have had!!!!!! It started out great. I got the homeschooling done and then took the kids outside to play in the already warm weather. I talked to several people on the phone and then made plans with Diane to go to the mall for lunch and shopping. I walked in from outside and into our downstairs bathroom which is right off of the kitchen. When I got in there, there were TERMITES everywhere!!!!!! I ran out, totally freaked, and into the kitchen where I saw them POURING out of a new hole they had just made in the wall!!!! It's on the opposite side of the wall where they first started coming out. It's the one I have a picture posted of a few days down. There were so many of them...they were flying all over the place and were all over the kitchen floor and the carpeting outside of the bathroom. I called Tim right away and he told me to call the pest control people. I sprayed tons of wasp spray at the hole where they were pouring out and that stopped them. The pest control guy told me to vacuum them up and put tape over the new hole. Soooo, I vacuumed the kitchen floor, carpeting and the bathroom floor. Then I had to go into the bathroom and squish all of the ones that were in there. They were at the window, in the sink, all around the toilet....YUCK!!!!! After I got a lot of them cleaned up, I noticed that more were flying down from some where and realized that they had broken through some tape that we had covered another hole with earlier this week!! So, I shot that area with wasp spray too and that subsided. I got up on a chair, not an easy thing with my recovering ankle, and I wiped off some of the spray so I could tape up the holes. The new one is covered, and I'm praying that they don't create any new holes before the pest guys can get here. I can't re-tape the other holes because there is too much spray accumulated there. I'll just let them deal with that when and if they get here. The pest guy said that they are really busy, but he'll try to get someone to come out later today. Oh Lord...this is just crazy!!!! I called Diane after I had killed most of them and told her what was going on. The poor gal...I had a total meltdown on the phone. Balling my eyes out.... I guess I was in shock and running on adrenyline when it first happened. Then after it was all done, the flood gates just opened up!! lol PMS doesn't help in the matter much either.

Whew, so, here I am...waiting for someone to come and rescue me!!!! Tim may be coming home early from work and I've told him that I want OUT of the house. The whole thing was just WAY too terrifying for me. It literally was like a scary bug movie...they were just falling out of the hole....****shivers**** I'd be ready to move out of here if it wasn't my dream house! Tim is wanting to tear down the wall now. I'm afraid that will be mega expensive, but we want to get rid of them soon. The Cook's pest control manager told him he didn't need to tear it down, but the Cook's pest control guy isn't living here and doesn't have to live through the Termite Drama Club's version of Hitchcock's "The Birds"!!!!!!! :p
