Yes, I am still alive :) Just haven't had much of an urge to write recently. The kids are finishing up some schooling right now. It's just coloring so I don't have to be *right* there with them :) I'm having a bad mental day so far...my patience level seems to be down pretty low for some reason :( I have a lot of cleaning and preparation to do today. We are having another couple from Tim's work over either tonight or tomorrow night. It was originally supposed to be tonight, but Tim was up late working last night so we are hoping to postpone with them and meet tomorrow. I'm going to be making sour cream, cheese & chicken enchiladas, guacamole, salad, salsa & chips and a cake for desert...yummmm ;) There is quite a bit of nit-pick straightening that needs to be done around the house too. On Tuesday at physical therapy, I graduated to using a cane only for walking assistance. Yesterday, the therapist watched me walk with the cane and without it and thinks I do better without it! And I was...but it is so much more painful than anything I've had to do before...ick. I had to break the crutches back out last night because my ankle was sooooo sore and it was just too painful to walk. That's the problem. My foot does pretty well in the afternoon, but first thing in the morning and last thing at night, I have to use the crutches because the pain is too intense. I'm probably just being a whimp, but even Advil and Tylenol aren't doing much to ease the pain. I still have some Lortab left, but that stuff really knocks me out so that wouldn't be very proactive ;) I go back to the ankle doctor on Monday and I have my last physical therapy appointment on the following Friday. I don't think the doc will refer me for another 4 weeks of therapy...there's not much for me to do there that I can't do here on my own. I've just got to make sure I AM doing it on my own...
So that's the update on my ankle. Oh! We finally bought a DVD player! My friend loaned us several of her kid movies last night and we watched BibleMan while we ate dinner :) That is one funny show!! This was our first one to watch and we all loved it. Do you guys remember Willie Ames? He was Scott Baio's friend (Buddy) on Charles in Charge...HE is BibleMan now!! I was so surprised when I walked in the living room and saw his face! Warning about the Charles in Charge link...I chose the one with the theme song in the background to link to because yes, I am a dork and yes, I was in love with Charles in Charge when I was a wee chica :) So back to BibleMan...it's funny and has a good moral in each episode...great for kids. :)
Hmmm...I wonder if I could come up with 100 things about myself...more on that later...
