Ick...I'm sick :( The head cold started to hit me last night, and I can tell it might be in full force by the end of today. It's all of those wonderful symptoms that I just love too...stuffy head that makes you feel like you're going to pass out, congestion, weirdo feeling throat. Ickity-ick-ick-ick!!!! I've taken some Dayquil, so I'm hoping that will help me get through today. I'm not going to the Ladies' Bible Study this morning after all.

A really gross thing happened last night. I made a really nice meal: Rice, green beans and Slow Cooked Short Ribs. You know how sometimes there are little brown grains of rice in your uncooked rice? Well, I had seen a few of those when I was pouring the rice into my rice cooker, but didn't think much of it. I think you can see where I am going with this... After dinner was served, we prayed and started eating. Well, poor Josh informs us that there is a BUG in his rice!!!! Sure enough, there were three of the little buggers in his serving alone!! They are these really small black beetle looking bugs that aren't any bigger than a grain of rice (obviously). The kids call them "Sticky bugs" because the really do hold on to things that they are on and seem to stick to everything. So, I think they either bit a whole in the rice bag or there was already a really small one there and they went on in and helped themselves. This was the first time I used that bag of rice and when I went back to look at it I saw several of the dead bugs at the bottom....*****shudder*****....nasty stuff!!! Moral of this little story: If you see a black/brown speck in your rice or other food be sure to check it out!! Don't just assume it is something else :p

Tim and I came across the Discovery Channel last night, and they were talking about the Freedom Ship. I'm surprised I hadn't heard about this before! What a wild idea...personally though, I think it's kind of ugly. I doubt we'll be buying any residential space there...

I think the couch is calling my name...later gaters ;)
