This is so sad...I think our Baby Jack might be dead :( I don't want to reach in there and find out though!! He is normally tucked under the pine shavings during the day and comes out a bit at night. Last night he was even trying to get out! We were watching Unbreakable and I kept hearing sounds in the kitchen. It really sounded like someone was unscrewing the metal lid on Baby Jack's big jar! I came in here to check on him and didn't see him. I figured he was just buried in the shavings as usual. I even glaced up through the glass jar to see if he was somehow hanging from the lid, and I couldn't see him. I put the jar back down and started to screw the lid on tighter and PLOP!! Down came Baby Jack...that little stinker had been biting at the air holes in the lid! I don't know how he could have gotten up there. He would have had to jump up really high and then catch on to the air holes! I was amazed...and startled! lol Anyway, he was actually out eating today, which is rare because he normally sleeps all day. He even slept out of the shavings too! I thought that maybe it was a good sign that he was going to not be so scared anymore, but now I'm thinking he was just dying :( Right now, he has his head buried in the shavings and his back and back legs are out in the open. His little back legs are crossed too. I thought that was just such a cute sleeping position, but I just put some crackers in the jar for him and he didn't flinch at all when I was unscrewing the lid. I even jiggled the jar around, and he isn't moving :( Luckily, I did prepare the kids this afternoon that we might have to let Baby Jack go. I told them that he really wasn't happy with us and is just too scared to be a pet. They handled it all well, and now Joshua wants a snake and Abigail wants a parrot... I'm going to have to have Tim take Baby Jack out in the morning and "let him go". I just know that if the kids find out he has died they'd be heart broken...ugh, poor Baby Jack :( He was such a little cutie...
Well, on a better note, I start physical therapy for my ankle tomorrow afternoon!!!! I went to see my ankle doctor this morning and he said everything is looking good bone wise! He is recommending I see the therapist two times a week for the next four weeks. The nurse told me it could be more. I bet it will be...I can only move my toes...my ankle is just WAY stiff. I called and found out that I can bring the kiddos with me to my appointments, so it will be easier for me AND for Tim...this way he won't have to watch the kids for me ;)
There are a few more things I could write about, but I really must go on to bed...night-night! :)
