BOO!! Tim sooooooo ROCKS!! My wonderful hubby set the kitchen pc up here in the living room! So here I am...foot propped up and making typo after typo on this new keyboard he bought at the computer show today. It's also sitting on my lap at a bad angle. I can tell the carpal tunnel syndrome is going to flare during these next two weeks! Oh well...beggers can't be choosers ;)

My surgery went well. They ended up doing a flap and a skin graft. It is painful, but not as bad as my first surgery for the broken ankle. The area on my thigh where they harvested the skin from doesn't seem to hurt a bit. Of course, I'm being careful not to bang it on anything... The put me on Lortab for pain and I am continuing with the antibiotics. The hospital stay was a lot shorter than I thought it would be. I knew I would be staying over night, but I thought it would be until the next evening or so...especially since he did a flap and had me on strict bed rest (yes, bed pan and all....blech!!!). Instead he sent me home around noon the day after the surgeries! If it weren't for the bed pan, I'd have wanted to stay there a lot longer. They just really put a damper on the whole "by myself" time :( Anyway, I go back to the plastic surgeon on Friday and he will remove the drain and all that pretty stuff and check on the graft and flap. I'm sure I'll still be on bed rest after that appointment...at least for another week. I'm really excited though that I have a computer to play on now!!! Yeah!!

Thank you so much to everyone who left encouraging comments for me about the surgery!! You are all wonderful :) And thanks also to Joe for the good wishes! Be careful...Launch Cast can be VERY addicting ;)
