I just got back a little bit ago from going with Tim to pick up his car at the repair shop. He had printed out a nice list of things that needed to be repaired on the car and gave it to them back on May 14, 2001. Since then, they've been saying they needed to weld a motor mount on the car because they couldn't find a part for it. They then told us the week before last that the car was ready for us to pick up. We went last week, and found that they were on vacation...yet again. These are some rich mechanics...I'm tellin' ya! So, we went this morning and Tim brought a copy of his repair list to double check everything with them. Ends up the only thing that they HAVE fixed is the motor mount and the brake lights. They were all "Oh...you wanted the muffler done too? Yeah, I was also wondering if you wanted such and such changed on the brakes too..." Hello? Why don't you give us a CALL then and ASK us?! They never call us to ask us anything...sheesh. But, the Lord does have this all planned out just fine I'd say. Tim reminded me that this is an opportune time for the second car to be in the shop. I can't really drive anyway! So...Antioch Automotive Center...you have ONE more month to get that car fixed....grrrrrr
Okay, nice little vent there, eh? Other than that, today has been going pretty well :) I am going for my four week check up today at 3:45pm. I'm supposing they will just look at the ankle again...maybe take another x-ray too. It is still REALLY stiff, but the "dead skin incision" (YUCK!) seems to be healing pretty well. The scab is getting smaller each week. The butterfly stitches finally all came off of the incision that up the side of my ankle, and it looks great! All you can see is a line where they sliced me open. It's been kinda neat to watch it heal...I'd never had anything major like this before, and it's surprising to me that an incision can heal in a month and a half. So...in preparation for my doctor's appt. I'm going to have to scoot up the stair again today to take a shower...a big feat in itself!
Today's aortal link is an awesome site I had come across about a year ago, and some of you may already be aware of it: nosepilot.com. I revisited it again last night, and found that he's been having problems with his domain :( He has moved his amazing animation to a new address which is here. Be sure to click on "Anglais" when the goggle guy shows up...if you speak English, that is :)
